Why am I volunteering for LLS?!

I'm passionate about LLs in honor of my uncle who passed due to cancer. To me, this is a life-changing opportunity to assist families and patients who have been affected by blood cancer/cancers. With student visionaries I feel like I have an important voice and a step up than others when making a change, when before the issue felt so out of my control to where I didn't know how I could help, LLS has shown me that I can make a huge impact and that no donation is too small, I believe even 1$ or spreading my story and page with others benefits me tremendously and is greatly appreciated. To me LLS is an opportunity to not only raise money for research of these cancers, but an opportunity to advocate and spread the word on these important opportunities to change the world as we know it. With this opportunity, I have grown as a person with empathy and I am so passionate and grateful to be nominated for this position. I believe my team is incredible and as passionate as I am, I know we will reach our goal and exceed it. I cannot do this without the help of all of you visiting my page, if you are not able to donate PLEASE spread the word to everyone you come across to inform the knowledge and compassion for the cause.

what are student visionaries?

I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help. This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

• Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics, and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
• Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
• Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

where is my donation going?

When you donate to my page you are funding the cutting-edge research that LLS has provided to solve over 75% of research breakthroughs for over 70 years, this means you are taking a large step in finding the cure! I'm very passionate about research and believe it is a key component in fighting blood cancer, without the funding to research we wouldn't have the resources to end cancer for good.
